HOURS, RESERVATION, AND TOURS

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION AT POSH PET HOTEL?

  • For the safety of our guests, Posh Pet Hotel is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • Our lobby is closed on the following holidays so therefore we can not accommodate arrivals or departures on: New Years Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

  • Phone – Call 561.225.1559 to speak with our friendly staff at the Front Desk.

  • In-Person – Please feel to stop by Posh Pet Hotel during lobby hours.

WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

  • Posh Pet Hotel requires a credit card deposit when booking a reservation. During Non-Peak/Holiday periods, a one-night deposit is required. During Peak/Holiday periods, a two-night deposit is required.

  • Current vaccination documentation must be submitted at least 3 days prior to check in during Non-peak/Holiday periods. During Peak/Holiday periods, these documents must be submitted at least 10 days prior to your pet’s reservation.

    There are some changes to the vaccination requirements 

  • Posh Pet Hotel also requires First Time Guests Documents to be completed and submitted before your reservation:

  • Canine Guests 4 months and older must meet all of the vaccination requirements before a reservation can be made.

  • Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age and have completed their first two series of vaccinations including the bordetella vaccine, and a clear fecal within the past six months, before a reservation can be made.

  • At 1 year of age, all puppies must be neutered to continue playing in Daycare. After one year of age, we will evaluate their temperament and reaction to other pets in the park, if un-neutered. If the pet cannot continue in the Daycare program, they will be placed in our Day Stay program. Un-spayed females may participate in Daycare unless they are in heat. Once they are in heat, they will promptly be moved to Day Stay, incurring additional fees.

  • Feline guests must have completed all of their vaccination requirements before a reservation can be made. All cats must be spayed and neutered.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

  • Non-Peak/Holiday – During this time, you may cancel your reservation, with no penalty, up to three days prior to your check-in time. Cancellations that occur within three days prior to your check-in or a “no show” will result in a forfeiture of your one-night deposit. Reservations created within three days prior to check-in time and subsequently cancelled or a “no show” will also result in a forfeiture of your one-night deposit.

  • Peak/Holiday – Due to high demand at Posh Pet Hotel during Peak/Holiday periods, we have a strict policy on cancellations during this time. During this time, you may cancel your reservation, with no penalty, up to five days prior to your check-in time. Cancellations that occur within five days prior to your check-in or a “no show” will result a forfeiture of your two-night deposit. Reservations created within five days prior to check-in time and subsequently cancelled or a “no show” will also result in a forfeiture of your two-night deposit.

WHAT ARE YOUR PEAK/HOLIDAY TIMES DURING THE YEAR?

Peak times are the week leading up to and after all major holidays.

Please be aware of the dates our Lobby is closed for arrivals and departures and thereby requires a two-night minimum stay. Please see “Hours of Operation” above.

Please be aware of our cancellation charge for these dates. Please see “What if I need to cancel my reservation?” above.

CAN I TAKE A TOUR?

  • Yes, we love visitors! You may visit us anytime from 10am to 6pm, Monday – Saturday, and from 12pm – 3pm on Sundays. No appointment is necessary. During Peak Hours/ Holidays, please drop us a line to check our availability.

IS YOUR FACILITY SECURE?

  • Yes, we have PPH staff here 24/7/365. Our hotel also features security, and smoke detection systems that alert police and fire departments in the event of an emergency.

VACCINATIONS

WHICH VACCINATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR MY DOG TO STAY AT POSH PET HOTEL?

  • Posh Pet Hotel requires that all of our canine guests have the following vaccinations:

    • Rabies - Current in the last year for puppies and past year to 3 years for adults depending on the vaccination provided

    • DHPP – Current in the last year for puppies and past year to 3 years for adults depending on the vaccination provided.

    • Bordetella – Current in the last year, or 6 months depending on the vaccination provided.

    • Fecal Stool Exam – Current and clear within the past year.

  • All canine guests 16 weeks (4 months) must provide proof of current vaccinations. Titers are accepted with proper documentation.

  • Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age and have completed their first two series of vaccinations including a bordetella vaccine.

  • Posh Pet Hotel requires that all of our feline guests have the following vaccinations:

    • FVRCP – Current in the last year for kittens and past year to 3 years for adults depending on the vaccination provided.

    • Feline Leukemia – Current in the last year.

    • Fecal Stool Exam – Current and clear within the past year.

  • Titers are accepted with proper documentation.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS REQUIRED BESIDES VACCINATIONS?

  • PPH requires that all pets have a current and clear fecal stool exam within the past year to ensure that they do not have any internal parasites. We require that all Pet Guests be on a monthly Flea/Tick parasite treatment program. Pet Guests will also receive a dose of Capstar upon arrival to eliminate any possible fleas.  We follow this stringent policy to try and keep the facility parasite-free which protects each pet guest staying and playing at PPH. The Canine Influenza vaccine is not required, but strongly encouraged.

ARRIVAL AT PPH

WHAT DO I BRING WITH MY DOG ON DAY OF ARRIVAL AT PPH?

  • Food and Treats

  • Medicines (Must be in original bottle prescribed from a veterinarian)

  • Collars

  • Hard Chew Toy (New or in new-like condition); No deer antlers allowed

  • New, Disposable T-shirt with your scent

Posh Pet Hotel asks that our guests provide their own food. Please put each meal in separate Ziploc bags, labeled with your pet’s name. This is to ensure your pet receives the correct amount of food per meal to avoid an upset stomach. Please make sure that you bring enough food for the duration of your pet’s stay. In the event your food runs out, we will serve your pet our house cuisine, which is a Fromms Family Foods brand. Please be aware that you will be charged for the rest of your pet’s meals up to $5/meal. If you do not bring your pet’s own food, we offer our Fromm’s house cuisine for $5/meal for up to three meals per day.

 

Pets are fed twice daily – in the morning and evening. However we can accommodate lunchtime feedings, if that is what you prefer, for your pet. By request, we can prepare specialized meals, including cooking or thawing if required. In special cases, a $5/day fee may apply. For our super Posh Pet Guests, we can prepare a filet, chicken, or fish with rice and green beans.

Please leave written, detailed instructions regarding mealtimes on our Overnight Check-In Form.

PPH staff will administer oral and topical medications at the cost of $1.00 per dose, up to a maximum of $5.00 per day. Medications must be in its original container and properly labeled with your pet’s name.  You will need to fill out detailed instructions regarding medications on PPH’s Overnight Check-in Form including signing off on the medication count at Check-In.

PPH uses customized safety collars and leads (leashes) during your pet’s stay with us.  We will place our collar and lead on your pet at check-in. We will keep your pet’s collar and leash in their designated cubby during their stay. We keep their collar and leash at PPH, so in case of an emergency, we are able to place their original collar and leash back on them.

Posh Pet Hotel accepts new or new-like hard chew rubber toys for your pet’s stay. No antlers are allowed. This is to ensure the health of your pet, as our PPH staff member is now able to keep track of the toy’s condition. If the toy is chewed open or there are missing pieces, we must react that these pieces have been ingested and seek veterinary attention for the safety of the pet, at the owner’s expense.

PPH will accept a clean, disposable t-shirt with your scent on it to help reduce separation anxiety. This shirt will be allowed to stay with the pet, unless our PPH staff member notices that the pet is chewing on it.  Again, if there are missing pieces, we must assume that the pieces have been ingested and seek veterinary attention for the safety of the pet, at the owner’s expense.

PPH provides clean and comfortable bedding for each pet. In order to maintain a sanitary and controlled environment, outside bedding is not permitted.

You will be asked to sign off on all the items that you bring at Check-In to ensure that all the items are accounted for during your pet’s stay and at Check-Out.

WHAT DO I BRING WITH MY CAT ON DAY OF ARRIVAL AT PPH?

  • Cat Carrier

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT FOR BOARDING STAYS?

  • Pet guests may be checked in anytime during Lobby Hours. Check-out time is before 12p.m. noon, seven days a week. All pets checking out after 12p.m. noon will incur a Daycare fee, per pet guest.

  • The Daycare fee is $32, Monday – Saturday, and $22 on Sundays, per guest. You may apply a Daycare package to cover this charge.

  • Last pick up for all Pet Guests is 7:00p.m. Monday – Friday, 6:00p.m. on Saturday, and 4:00p.m. on Sunday.

  • All Pet Guest picked up after 7:00p.m. but before 7:30p.m., after 6:00p.m. but before 6:30p.m. on Saturday, and after 4:00p.m. but before 4:30p.m. on Sunday will incur a $15.00 late fee, per guest

  • Any Pet Guest that is not picked up by the last times listed above will have to board with us for the night, and will incur a boarding fee associated with a room capable of accommodating your pet(s).

DAY CARE, DAY STAY AND SPECIAL CARE

DAYCARE

Daycare is a cage free, supervised environment where multiple, compatible dogs play together in our indoor/outdoor play areas.  We have three large play areas to separate small, medium, and large dogs. All groups will be rotated throughout the day to the outdoor play area.  Every dog will attend an Evaluation Day, where we check the dog’s temperament, play style, and energy levels. 

Daycare is available from 7a.m. – 7p.m. Monday – Friday, 7a.m. – 6p.m. Saturday, and 9a.m. – 4p.m. on Sunday. We ask that you pick up your dog on time, or before, as to not incur a late fee.

DAY STAY

Day Stay is for dogs that require special attention or for dogs that are less social.  It involves the boarding of your pet during the day, but not overnight.  Some examples of dogs that may need Day Stay are:  shy dogs or dogs that do not do well in a pack environment, dogs that just like to be by themselves, females in heat, unneutered males, and senior dogs with decreased mobility.  A deluxe suite is waiting with two 30-minute individual playtimes with a Posh Staff Member.  

Day Stay is available from 7a.m. – 7p.m. Monday – Friday, 7a.m. – 6p.m. Saturday, and 9a.m. – 4p.m. on Sunday. We ask that you pick up your dog on time, or before, as to not incur a late fee.

Posh Pet Hotel also has a Day Stay program for cats that want to play and hang out during the day.  A private classic suite is waiting, along with playtime in Cats Cay. Cats Cay included.

DO I NEED TO MAKE DAYCARE OR DAY STAY RESERVATIONS?

  • We do accept drop-ins, as we know things come up and there are lots of things to do here in beautiful Florida, but we highly recommend reservations, especially during the Peak/Holiday seasons. We may have to turn away dogs if we reach the ratio of dog to staff members. We also highly recommend reservations for Day Stay

Guests, especially during Peak/Holiday periods.  We may have to turn dogs away if we do not have a room available.

WHAT IF MY DOG DOESN’T PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS?

PPH wants to ensure the safety of all pet guests staying at our facility, as well as providing quality care for your pet.  We will offer your non-boarding pet our Day Stay program, which includes all the Deluxe Room amenities plus two 30-minute individual playtimes with a Posh Staff Member.  For boarding dogs, your pet will enjoy two 30-minute individual playtimes with a Posh Staff Member and (2) individual potty breaks.

WILL YOU ACCEPT MY FEMALE DOG THAT IS IN HEAT?

  • Yes! For the safety of your pet and our other pet guests, your pet will be a Day Stay

Guest, and will receive 3 one-on-one walks by a Posh Staff Member. Due to the extra cleanup and care for your pet, there will be a $20/day fee on top of the Day Stay rate or Boarding room rate.

WILL YOU ACCEPT INTACT MALES?

  • Yes! All puppies up to 1 year of age may play in Day Care.  After one year of age, we will evaluate their temperament and reaction to other pets in the park, if un-neutered. If the pet cannot continue in the Daycare program, they will be placed in our Day Stay program. Our Day Stay program includes all the deluxe room amenities plus two 30-minute individual playtimes with a Posh Staff Member. For boarding dogs, your pet will enjoy two 30-minute individual playtimes with a Posh Staff member and other potty breaks.

WHAT IS THE POSH SPECIAL CARE PROGRAM?

  • Posh Special Care Program is for pets that require frequent medications, in addition to specialized care.  Please speak to our friendly Front Desk Staff regarding if this is a program that your pet needs to be in. The Posh Special Care Program is an additional $20 per day due to the extensive personalized care that is required.
